Sandstone is one of the highly durable naturally occurring stones. When sandstone paving is used in the gardens and the house, it gives high durability and will sustain the same quality for many years. When we purchase a sandstone block it is highly necessary that we should check for the quality of the sandstone. Some of the traders crush the stone in to piece add some glue substance and make their artificial sandstone. These types of sandstone paving made with artificial method will have a good glow in look but will not be good in durability.
Testing is also very important when we go for paving the floor. The sandstone that is purchased needs a good testing for the quality. There are also very low quality sandstone paving stones available in the market that does not withstand bad conditions and may get crushed in regular use. Suitability of the sandstone paving is also very important. The stone should be capable of withstanding the heat and wet conditions if it is going to be used in garden paving. People say that low quality sandstone breaks down when exposed to overheat of sun and also to water due to rain.
